Sex & Nudity شدت: کم Brief sex scene between the film's only couple is shot in shadows and accompanied by romantic piano.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Weapons include guns, knives, grenades, and rusty pliers (for pulling out fingernails).

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Battle scenes show injuries and bloody bodies.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط The film's IRA heroes are shot at, tortured, and imprisoned by British soldiers -- their acts of vengeance, however righteous, never lead to victory, as they suffer emotionally afterward and the British maintain dominion.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Plenty of graphic and unsettling/disturbing political violence, yet there are no exeedingly gory moments.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Even though the violence itself may not be as bad as some other R-rated films, it is still disturbing--the violence has meaning.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط Gun-play, battle and two scenes of torture.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط A man has his nails ripped out gruesomely.

Violence & Gore شدت: متوسط A woman has her hair brutally cut, with the scissors cutting her deeply and horribly mutilating her, yet she later recovers.

Profanity شدت: زیاد There are 60 uses of fuck, 8 uses of shit (3 as shite), 5 uses of hell, 1 use of damn, 4 uses of ass (2 as arse), 27 uses of bastard, 2 uses of prick and bitch, 1 use of whore and mick, 8 uses of fenian, 1 use of cunt (barely heard), and 17 uses of Jesus, Jesus Christ, and Christ.

Profanity شدت: زیاد Lots of angry language, including multiple uses of the f-word plus "sh*t" and "sh*te," "a**," "d*mn," "b*st*rd," "b**ch," and "wh*re." The name "Jesus Christ" is used as an expletive on many occasions.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking شدت: کم Drugs: None

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking شدت: کم Young men smoke cigarettes repeatedly; In bar scenes and during political meetings.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking شدت: کم Characters drink liquor and ale.

Frightening & Intense Scenes شدت: زیاد The violence is extremely intense during many scenes.
