      کمتر فیلمی وجود داره که هر سکانسش برنامه‌ریزی دقیق و هر پلانش قاب‌بندی زیبا و چشمنواز داشته باشه. قطعن از دیدن این کُمیک‌بوک زنده و این فیلم مونوکروم لذت خواهید برد. درضمن برای فیلمبازها و دنبال‌کنندگان سینما میگم: دوستان دوران اوج بروس ویلیس بزرگ اینجاست.

        اولین باری که با رابرت رودریگز آشنا شدم : با فیلماش بود، خودش رو اصلا نمیشناختم ، حتی تارانتینو رو ؛ با فیلم‌های Desperado و From dusk till dawn بود. فیلمای تارانتینو رو هم دیده بودم، سگ های انباری رو خیلی دوست داشتم ولی خوب ،چیزی از دنیای سینما سرم نمیشد حتی اسم کارگردانارو. ولی یه چیزی که همیشه برام سوال بود، چرا اینقدر سبک این چندتا فیلم بخصوص شبیه به هم هست، که حتی یه بچه هفت هشت ساله (خودم رو میگم) تونسته متوجه شد شباهتش رو و چرا بازیگرای این چندتا فیلم اکثرا همونای همیشگی هستن. بعدها که بزرگتر شدم و شناختم هر دو کارگردان رو ، فهمیدم این دو کارگردان (رودریگز و تارانتینو) دو رفیقِ صمیمی هستن و مثل دو برادر هنری همدیگه رو حمایت می‌کنن. رودریگز همیشه می‌گه از تارانتینو الهام گرفته،اما خودش هم یه سبک بصری فوق‌العاده مخصوص خودش رو داره که قابل مشاهدست . یه چیز دیگه که در مورد تارانتینو خیلی برام جالبه، استعداد شگفت‌آورش برای "ستاره‌سازی" یا "احیای حرفه" بازیگرانه. واقعاً هرکس توی فیلم‌هاش بازی کرده، بعدش ترکوند! مثلاً: جان تراولتا که توی دهه ۹۰ افت شدید داشت، با "داستان عامه‌پسند" دوباره به اوج رسید. ساموئل ال. جکسون با همکاری باهاش تبدیل به یه غول سینمایی شد. کریستف والتز رو که کسی خارج از اروپا نمی‌شناختش ، با "حرامزاده‌های لعنتی" یه‌شبه به یه ستاره جهانی تبدیل کرد. رودریگز هم دستِ کمی ازش نداره! اون هم استعدادهای درخشانی رو به جهان معرفی کرد: آنتونیو باندراس رو از بازیگری در فیلم‌های اسپانیایی، تبدیل به قهرمان اکشن بین‌المللی کرد. سلما هایک رو به عنوان اولین ستاره زن مکزیکی در هالیوود مطرح کرد. و دنی ترخو رو از یه بازیگر نقش‌های فرعی، به یه اسطوره تبدیل کرد. حتی موسیقی هایی هم که انتخاب میکنند برا فیلماشون واقعا خاصه، تارانتینو مثله یه دی جی خودش آهنگ هارو از موزیک های دهه ۷۰ و ۸۰ انتخاب میکنه، یا رودریگز که خودش موزیسین هست و با انتخاب بند los lobos و tito and tarantula ,برای دو فیلم دسپرادو و from dusk till dawn چه اعجوبه هایی رو معرفی کرد و چند موزیک قدیمی رو دوباره ترند کرد، و هنوزم توی کاراشون همین سبک رو ادامه میدند ،استفاده از موزیک های لاتین و فلامنکو و راک و متال هایی با سولو گیتارهای آتیشی، من هنوز موزیکاشونو گوش میدم بخاطر نوستالژی اون دوره ایی که بچه تر بودم و حال میکردم از دیدن فیلمای تارانتینو و رودریگز موزیک های jack the reaper ، desperado , strange face of love هنوز توی پلی لیستمن و مطمعنم موقع نوشتن فیلمنامه داشتن این موزیکارو گوش میکردن. فیلم "شهر گناه" (Sin City) در واقع نماد کامل این دوستی و همکاری بینظیره. سبک بصری انقلابی رودریگز با فیلمنامه‌نویسی خیره‌کننده تارانتینو (که بخشی از فیلم رو هم کارگردانی کرد) توی این فیلم ترکیب شد. تماشای این فیلم، مثل تماشای یک اثر هنری مشترکه که بهترین خصوصیات هر دو کارگردان رو نشون می‌ده: خشونت شاعرانه، دیالوگ‌های تیز، زن‌های قوی به دور از فمنیستی که سو گیری افراطی داره و دنیایی که هم سیاه‌وسفیده، هم پر از رنگ زندگیه!عشق و هیجان و خشونت باهم ترکیب میشن ، عاشق این دنیای مشترکشونم. هالیوود یعنی این، نه چیزی که این روزا شاهدش هستیم...

              دو قسمت سین سیتی مخصوصا همین قسمت اولش از اون شاهکاراییه که تقریبا طرفدار هر سبک فیلمی باشین ازش لذت میبرین کاش حداقل دو سه تا فیلم مدرن دیگه با این شکل و شمایل ساخته میشد خودم خیلی دوست داشتم یه فیلم از بتمن با این سبک ساخته بشه خصوصا اینکه همین فرانک میلر جزو نویسنده های کمیکای بتمنه
